Say goodbye to shaving, waxing and tweezing! Unwanted hair on your face and body is permanently removed by means of laser at De Huidkliniek.

In laser hair removal, laser emits an intense beam of light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles, damaging the stem cells responsible for hair growth. This enables us to permanently remove hair treated by laser.

You are always welcome to contact us for a consultation. Then we will discuss whether laser hair removal is the right treatment for your skin.

Laser depilation to get rid of unwanted and excessive hair growth

Laser can remove unwanted hair effectively and safely, provided it is dark and thick enough. After each treatment, your hair will become less and thinner. Hair treated by laser hair removal is removed permanently.

However, it is possible that new hair will develop over the years due to the influence of hormones, among other things. In that case you will need a number of follow up sessions.

Laser Facial Hair Removal

During a laser treatment for unwanted facial hair growth, ‘beard growth’ for example, the skin therapist of De Huidkliniek starts marking out the treatment area. Then she will shave the hair within this area in order to protect the skin and finally apply a cold gel to the area. The treatment is carried out with a special laser device.

Laser emits a concentrated beam of light that is absorbed by the pigment in the hair follicles, damaging them and eventually removing them permanently. Afterwards, a cool and soothing cream is applied to the treated area. Your eyes are protected from the light of the laser during the treatment.

Laser Body Hair Removal

A laser treatment for unwanted body hair growth at De Huidkliniek follows the same treatment steps as for facial laser depilation. For treating body hair growth the skin therapists use laser devices suitable for larger treatment areas. For small body treatment areas , such as the armpits, the skin therapists use the Light Sheer Duet with dual heads. For larger areas, such as the legs, a device with one large vacuum head is used.

De Huidkliniek treats several skin problems effectively with laser, such as scars, wrinkles and pigmentation spots.

Reimbursements laser hair removal

It differs per health insurance company whether a treatment for laser depilation will be reimbursed. Usually this is the case when you have an additional package within your health insurance. You can contact your health insurer to find out the exact reimbursement. Check our fees here.

I am undergoing treatment for laser hair removal on my neck and chin. I have been struggling with this for years and now I have finally started the procedure! I recently had my first treatment. Unfortunately, following treatments have to be postponed due to the corona crisis. I want to let you know that 80% of hair hasn’t grown back since the first treatment, even though more than 8 weeks have passed! Some more hair will probably come back, but I am simply amazed and incredibly happy with these first results. I cannot tell you how relieved I am and how my self-confidence has improved as a result. Thank you so much!
